Thorsten, 11.11.2006

I have been playing horn in my hometowns church orchestra since my early childhood, later on I learned to play clarinet and electric bass. Since 2001 I have been toying around with a Yamaha WX5 wind controller.

From 1983 until 1999 I played clarinet and later bass in the Bergkapelle Radbod in Hamm, Germany.
This is an orchestra formed by coal miners in the 1920s and we were playing marching music, Big Band tunes, symphonic style music and even pop songs.
We've had some gigs outside Germany, e.g. in Bradford (GB), Prag (CZ) and Southern Tirol (Italy).
Other events were in Munich and Berlin during its 750th anniversary.

Since 1984 I have been playing bass in various local rock and jazz bands (Ausbruch, Eat At Alex). Recently I have been playing with Swing And More and the cover rock band Cargo. From 2009 until 2015 I played with Marcuse68, a jazz-rock quintet, and, from 2010 until 2014, the Westfalen Big Band as well as the cover rock band Londonklub from 2016 until 2021.

Right now I'm playing with a music school big band, a jazzrock quartet and the Markus Tobisch Band.
